On April 20, 2023, officials of the Office of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Orenburg Region, together with the Border Directorate of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Orenburg Region, on the Russian-Kazakhstan section of the state border of the Russian Federation at the Sagarchin checkpoint stopped an attempt to illegally import 10 batches of pesticides and agrochemicals from Kyrgyzstan.

During the inspection, the following pesticides and agrochemicals were imported into the territory of the Russian Federation by a motor vehicle: insecticides Karat max, Mospilan Asia, Bi-58 Asia, Politrin Fort, Proklei Fort, Engio Asia, Nurel Fort; herbicides: Stomp Asia, Hurricane Asia and fertilizer Growfert 20-20-20+TE.
The total volume of all drugs was: 390 liters of liquid and 305 kg of bulk.
There were no accompanying documents for all of the above pesticides and agrochemicals (certificate of conformity, certificate of state registration of a pesticide or agrochemical, declaration of conformity).
In addition, the preparations are not registered in the State Catalog of Pesticides and Agrochemicals Permitted for Use on the Territory of the Russian Federation, and the vehicle on which these pesticides and agrochemicals were transported, along with household items, was not intended for road transport of dangerous goods.
As a result, the violator was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 8.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. The import of pesticides and agrochemicals is prohibited. The drugs were returned to the sender's country.
Since the beginning of the year, officials of the Department have stopped the illegal import of 45 batches of pesticides and agrochemicals into the territory of the Russian Federation.
During inspections, samples were taken from each batch of pesticides and agrochemicals. All samples were transferred for research to the Orenburg Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor.
Based on the results of studies of 35 batches of pesticides and agrochemicals, 9 facts of an underestimated amount of the content of the active substance in the preparations were established in comparison with the amount declared on the label. 10 samples are in progress. ■
