Russian food watchdog prohibits import of 20 tons of pears from Kyrgyzstan

Russia’s phytosanitary watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor (Altai Krai branch) barred the import of 80 tons of regulated products from Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan from Jan 15 to 22.

Some 21 of onion, 20 tons of tomatoes from Kazakhstan, as well as 20 tons of pears from Kyrgyzstan were barred from entry into the Russian territory over the lack of needed phytosanitary documents.

According to akipress.com, all products were returned to sender.
