Alpha Bank agrees to sell Romanian NPL portfolio of 360m euros
The bank said that portfolio will be acquired by entities financed by a consortium of international investors including Deutsche Bank, funds advised by AnaCap Financial Partners and funds advised by APS Investments.
The completion of the transaction is subject to the relevant regulatory approvals.
The aforementioned transaction and the sale of a 50 million euros retail NPL portfolio to the Norwegian group B2Holding, in the third quarter of 2017 “completes the actions carried out by the Bank to sell a significant part of its Romanian Non-Performing Exposures,” Alpha said in a bourse filing.
“The transaction contributes towards and is fully consistent with the execution of the Bank’s Restructuring Plan, while the combined effect of the above transactions is expected to be accounting and capital ratio accretive for the Bank,” Alpha added. ■
