Bolivia's Los Tiempos newspaper disclosed that the goal is to trade at least 150,000 batches of the drug at first and then Russia would transfer the technology for the production of the final dose.
The SIGMA company, located in the Bolivian department of Cochabamba, is in charge of first importing Avifavir, and then producing it in the country, the report added.
The de facto government received several criticisms for delaying the authorization of the production of the Russian drug in Bolivia, a country that already accumulates almost 5,000 deaths and over 112,000 infections by coronavirus. ■
