The State Prosecutor for Serious Economic and International Crime (SØIK) discharged Søndergaard Nedrivning and three employees in the demolition cartel case complex.

In autumn 2015, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority conducted inspections at a number of companies in the demolition industry and Søndergaard Nedriving applied for leniency under section 23 a of the Danish Competition Act.

In connection with the bid rigging cases, Søndergaard Nedrivning had coordinated bids with competitors in 55 cases. The company has actively contributed to the investigation of the infringements and fulfilled the criteria for obtaining leniency.

With the discharges, the entire case complex has now come to an end. In total, the fines in the case complex amount to approx. DKK 18 million (€ 2,410,000), hereunder fines for six companies and 12 personal fines. The highest fine in the case complex amounted to DKK 5.9 million (€ 785,000) and was issued in a case with 12 infringements concerning bid rigging.
