The new depot will officially open its doors in August 2016.

With a classification of a Mega-Site, the large complex will have the capacity to operate around 3000 vehicles, and will offer customers a complete fleet solution in terms of ‘flexible’ vehicle hire.

GAP has over 45 years’ experience in the hire industry and over 126 branches nationwide. Combined with their expert knowledge of vehicle hire, the division has flourished since its inception in 2015.

Jim Forrester, Operations Director for GAP Vehicle Hire said: "We have seen huge growth from our Mega-site in Glasgow and are delighted to announce our plans to further enhance our growth strategy.

"We will be replicating our ‘one stop’ solution services, meaning we can supply vehicles for our customers exactly to their specification and fit items on-site such as tow bars, beacons, internal racking and more."

The new site will boast a brand new Hiredesk reception, vehicle up-fitting centre, as well as a large forecourt which is already earmarked for a vehicle sales compound.
