Columbus, Ga.-based Knox Pest Control announced the acquisition of Alabama/Georgia Owens and Taunton.

Owen and Taunton has been a household name in the Auburn, Opelika, Valley, Lagrange, Warm Spring and Columbus area markets since 1956.
During this time, the company has become a pioneer in many areas of the industry and continued to be a family-owned and -operated business under the leadership of Michael Moncrief and family. Owen and Taunton is committed to customer services while providing commercial, residential and industrial pest control services.
Moncrief stated when he got ready to retire and/or sell, he would contact Knox Pest Control, according to a news release. The care and service of his customers and team members was of the up most importance to him.
Having known the Knox family for many years, Moncrief said in a news release that he was confident that Knox Pest Control would be the right company to take care of his customers.
