Petrobras will sell 25% of BR Distribuidora

Petrobras board approved the sale of 25% of shares of the subsidiary BR Distribuidora. Currently, all the shares of the fuel distribution company are controlled by the state-owned Petrobras.

According to a statement released this Tuesday (18th), Petrobras already sent the registration request to the Brazilian Securities and Exchange Commision (CVM) for the “secondary public offering of shares issued of BR, corresponding to 25% of its share capital”.

BR Distribuidora is the Petrobras’ subsidiary responsible for the commercialization and distribution of fuel and other products of the brand, and controls the BR network of gas stations.
