Renewables Infrastructure acquires UK wind farm for £22.6 million

Investment company Renewables Infrastructure Group said it has completed the acquisition of Neilston Community wind farm, a 10 megawatt onshore wind project in East Renfrewshire, Scotland.

Renewables acquired the project from private developer Carbon Free & Neilston Development Total for a total consideration of £22.6 million, funded from the proceeds of the the London-listed firm's recent equity raise.

The project comprises of four Nordex N90 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 2.5 megawatts, and benefits from a power purchase agreement with Statkraft
