An extensive range of infotainment options will be available for passengers on their personal mobile devices.
RPORTAL.aero, an advanced multifunctional portal, will be accessible from any personal device. In addition to many varieties of content, such as movies, TV series, audiobooks, podcasts, TV shows and sports programs, it will include a capability of the two-way online communication with the crew – calling a flight attendant is now more effortless and quicker than ever, and choosing a more comfortable seat in the cabin is now possible directly on board in one of the new sections of the portal.
As the most novel feature, the new inflight entertainment system has a section with flight and crew information. Using the portal on their personal devices, passengers will be able to learn more in real time about all crew members who serve the flight, including information on the aircraft’s pilot in command. Each traveler is also free to leave a feedback on the flight they made, its crew or quality of service on board.
All passengers can read fresh press publications in e-formats from popular glossy, business, socio-political, sports and children’s editions as well as the latest media publications in foreign languages, including English, German, Chinese and Arabic.
Kids can plunge into a section with children’s content. Details of the inflight menu have been added where travelers can get more information about meals provided on board, and Business Class passengers can additionally book meals before takeoff.
Unique content from popular online cinemas as well as a vastly extended library of audiobooks, lectures, podcasts and quests from well-known brands, favored by many, and a possibility to shop in the onboard e-store will be soon available for passengers.
There is no need to download additional applications to connect to the portal. Only some Android devices require prior activation via a browser. The new streaming inflight entertainment system will be installed on all Rossiya Airlines aircraft, including the domestically manufactured Superjet 100 and MC-21 aircraft that will be added to the fleet in 2022. The new onboard solution can be looked forward on all flights of the airline, including short-haul regional operations. ■
