The Irish carrier has been telling customers that chargeback is a "fraudulent" scheme that could result in them being blacklisted from all flights in the future.

In an investigation, MoneySavingExpert.com spoke to 10 passengers who have been told they could be banned for using the card protection scheme.

Frustrated Ryanair customers have taken to chargeback over the past month, after being told they could have to wait up to a year for refunds due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The airline said it's receiving 10,000 more claims than usual, but passengers say they need their money back amid huge financial uncertainty.
