Singapore Post to build new shopping mall with eCommerce

Singapore Post plans to invest about 150 million Singapore dollars ($106.9 million) in a new 25,000-sq.-meter retail mall offering online shopping in Singapore.




The new mall will combine online shopping and brick-and-mortar shops in the same location. It is expected to be ready by mid-2017, and will include a cinema, food and retail outlets.

The mall will provide retailers with a pop-up store, a retail space where retailers can display their products. Shoppers will be able to see first-hand and try out the products before ordering them online using an electronic device.

The product will then be sent directly to the shopper's home. Retailers will be able to save on some storage space, as goods will be delivered from a warehouse.
