Valeo said the deal will add technology know-how and allow it to improve the high-speed connectivity and cybersecurity of its systems. In February, Valeo had already signed a technological agreement with Peiker.

Valeo's know-how in on-board electronics, enriched with Peiker's technological expertise, will allow the group to offer automakers new telematics systems equipped with the high-speed connectivity and cybersecurity features that this high-growth market demands.

These systems will notably feature innovative vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) communication technologies, and be compatible with forthcoming LTE Advanced (4G+) mobile internet services.
