The classic Globo di Luce pendant lights have been re-released, now in modern style. Inspired by the original 1968 design, this timeless Globo di Luce lights from Fontana Arte brings back the metallic globe design, but in an evolved, ultra-modern way. These modern lamps by Arturo Alvarez use an unconventional material for lamps – wood. The Shio lamps are constructed using laminated wood boards, placed side by side and filtering the light through its spaces. This cool floor lamp from Spanish company Dab isn not a typical lamp: it’s not transparent, and it is not made of glass. Tree, designed by Werner Aisslinger, features a solid shade that is artfully sliced to allow light to permeate and illuminate the room. On the outside, the modern black or white lacquered finishes are modern, while between the cuts you can see the lamp’s interior – painted gold. This floor lamp will look great in the living room or a near your bed.
A chandelier with a fan? Well, that's possible – look at the customizable Fan-tastic Chandel-Air by Meyda Lighting. Featuring a trendy industrial style, the Chandel Air has a brushed aluminium look.
