Brazil industrial production dropped in April

After a minor recovery in March, Brazilian industry production declined anew in April.

According to the Industrial Survey released by the National Federation of Industry (CNI), the country still struggles with recession.

Employment and capacity utilization also dropped last month and business owners are less optimistic regarding employment, demand, exports and purchases of raw materials.

The scores were 41.6 points for production, 47 points for number of employees and 36.6 points for capacity utilization.

The survey ranges from zero to 100, with scores lower than 50 showing pessimism, and scores higher than 50 showing optimism.
