Bulgarian exports to EU up 26.9% in January

In January 2018 Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 26.9% compared to the same month of 2017 and amounted to 3 094.3 Million BGN.

Main trade partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and the Netherlands which accounted for 69.1% of the exports to the EU Member States.

In January 2018 compared to the corresponding month of the previous year the largest growths in the exports of Bulgaria to the EU distributed according to the Standard International Trade Classification were recorded in the sections ‘Crude materials, inedible (except fuel)’2 (93.2%) and ‘Animals and vegetable oils, fats and waxes’ (64.5%).

Fall was recorded only in the section ‘Mineral fuel, lubricants and related materials’ (39.0%).

Bulgarian imports from the EU in January 2018 increased by 21.7% compared to the same month of 2017 and added up to 3 226.3 Million BGN at CIF prices.

The largest amounts were reported for the goods imported from Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain and Greece.
