Hungary industrial production grows as estimated in August

Hungary's industrial production increased as initially estimated in August, latest figures from the Hungarian Central Statistical Office showed.

Industrial production rose a working-day-adjusted 3.5 percent year-over-year in August, confirming the flash data published on October 7. This was followed by a 0.1 percent slight drop in July.

On an unadjusted basis, industrial production expanded 11.1 percent in August from a year ago.

Among sectors, manufacturing production grew 12.0 percent and mining and quarrying output jumped by 22.1 percent.

Month-on-month, industrial production climbed 1.6 percent in August, in line with preliminary report.
