Ireland's factory gate prices fall for fourth month

Ireland's factory gate prices declined for the fourth consecutive month in May, the Central Statistics Office said.

Manufacturing industries output prices decreased 1.6 percent in May from last year, but slower than the 3.8 percent decline posted in April. This was the fourth straight month of decline in prices.

Month-on-month, output prices slid 0.2 percent versus a 0.4 percent decrease in April.

On a yearly basis, there was a decrease of 1.3 percent in the price index for export sales and a drop of 3.2 percent in respect of the price index for home sales.
