Poland's average gross wages rise more than forecast

Poland's average gross wages increased more than expected in July, figures from the Central Statistical Office showed.

Average gross wages increased 4.8 percent in July from prior year, faster than the 4.5 percent rise economists had expected.

On a monthly basis, average wages advanced 0.9 percent compared to the expected increase of 0.6 percent.

Excluding payments from profits, average gross wages gained 0.8 percent from June and 4.7 percent from same period of last year.
