Russian net capital outflow falls to $10.5 billion

Russia's net capital outflow has fallen by a factor of five in the first half of 2016 year on year to $10.5 billion, the central bank said.

The bank also mentioned Russia's current account surplus amounted to $15.9 billion, compared to $46.5 billion in the same period of 2015.

According to the data, Russia's balance of payments was shaped by a reduction in the total merchandise exports' value, due to the low prices for raw materials with a gradual rehabilitation of imports and shrinking deficits in the balances of trade in services and investment income.
