Turnover in internal trade in Slovakia increased
A decrease was recorded in accommodation by 1.2%, retail trade by 0.6% and in food and beverage service activities by 0.3%.

Turnover in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles increased by 11.2% as a result of the growth in sale of motor vehicles by 18.4%.
Turnover declined in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles by 4.6% and in sale of motor vehicle parts and accessories by 1.7%.
Compared with October 2015, turnover in wholesale rose by 0.6% in total.
An increase was recorded in majority of activities, of which mainly in other specialised wholesale by 5.3%, wholesale of agricultural raw materials and live animals by 22.4% and in wholesale of information and communication equipment by 6.6%.
A decrease was recorded in non-specialized wholesale by 7.6%, wholesale on a fee or contract basis by 6.6% and in wholesale of household goods by 0.4%.
Turnover in retail trade increased by 0.8%. Higher turnover resulted mainly from a turnover increase registered in retail sale of other goods in specialised stores by 2.8%, retail sale in non-specialised stores by 0.5%, retail sale of food, beverages and tobacco in specialised stores by 7.2%. Turnover decreased mainly in retail sale of information and communication equipment in specialised stores by 17.4%.
Turnover in accommodation was higher by 10.2%. Turnover in food and beverage service activities increased by 4%. ■
