Brunei reports zero coronavirus cases for 19 straight days

Brunei reported no new cases of COVID-19 on Sunday with the national tally of cases standing at 152.

According to Brunei's Ministry of Health, there are no active cases in the country and the total number of recovered cases remains at 149.

It also marked the 19th consecutive day without new cases since Dec. 8, when the country recorded an imported case from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

A total of 11 imported cases have been confirmed since the last local infection case was reported on May 6. At present, Brunei has recorded 235 days without any local infections.

Meanwhile, currently 549 individuals who arrived in the country after traveling abroad are undergoing mandatory isolation at the monitoring centers provided by the government.

There have been three deaths that resulted from COVID-19 in Brunei.
