Croatia adds 4,520 new coronavirus infections

Croatia reports 4,520 new coronavirus infections in the last day.

In the last day, 12,596 people were tested, 69 people died, the National Civil Protection Headquarters reported on Wednesday.

Today, a total of 23,750 cases are active, 2,703 people are in hospital, including 280 patients on a respirator, which is 23 more than yesterday.

Sadly, 69 people died, so the total number of deaths has risen to 2,367 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Since February 25, 2020, when the first case of infection was recorded in Croatia, a total of 159,372 people were infected with coronavirus .

There are currently 57,835 people in self-isolation.

To date, a total of 837,619 people have been tested, of which 12,596 in the last 24 hours.

The new rules for shops and shopping centers will come into force on Saturday. On the eve of the holidays and increased crowds due to pre-holiday shopping, instead of the previous four square meters for each customer, shops should provide at least 10 square meters for each customer. The new restrictions will be in force until 10 January.
