The number of deaths jumped to 463 from 366, civil protection chief Angelo Borrelli said in Rome.

“The threat of a pandemic has become very real,” said WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus.

“But it would be the first pandemic in history that could be controlled.”

The National Civil Protection Headquarters in Croatia has recommended two new coronavirus protection measures addressing the control of people in international traffic and limiting public gatherings with more than 1,000 participants, and will be in place until further notice.

All foreign nationals entering Croatia from the areas that are the focal points of the coronavirus infection, which are special areas in China, Italy, Korea and Iran, will be informed about the measure of mandatory quarantine for a period of 14 days.
