5.6 magnitude earthquake hits off southern Philippines

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted 197 km southeast of Sarangani, Philippines, at 0718 GMT on Wednesday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 25.96 km, was initially determined to be at 4.1117 degrees north latitude and 126.6944 degrees east longitude.
