5.8 magnitude earthquake hits south of Fiji, 5.4 magnitude hits Papua, Indonesia

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Papua, Indonesia at 01:16:16 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 4.7418 degrees south latitude and 138.3624 degrees east longitude.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted south of the Fiji Islands at 00:03:21 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 568.61 km, was initially determined to be at 25.1767 degrees south latitude and 178.3483 degrees east longitude.
