An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 02:52:49 GMT on Tuesday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.9594 degrees south latitude and 177.515 degrees west longitude. ■
