7.5 magnitude earthquake hits Peru

A revised 7.5 magnitude earthquake jolted northern Peru, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake struck north of Barranca, Peru, with the epicenter at a depth of 112.5 kilometres, the USGS said.

No tsunami warning was issued and there are no reports on damages and casualties.
