Boeing 767-300 suffers left-hand main gear collapse on landing at Bucharest, Romania

On 28 August 2020, the Boeing 767-300ER was operating a flight from Kabul, Afghanistan to Washington DC, USA with a refueling stop at Bucharest, Romania.

The aircraft touched down about 650 m past the threshold of runway 07.

After the nose landing gear had touched down, the aircraft began tilting to the left.

It skidded on the runway until coming to a stop near the end of the 3100m long runway. It appeared the left-hand main landing gear had collapsed rearwards.
