Bolsonaro blamed for health catastrophe in Brazil

Renowned epidemiologist Pedro Hallal on Thursday described Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro as major negative personality during the Covid-19 pandemic in Brazil.

Invited by the senatorial commission in charge of assessing the government management in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic, Pedro Hallal –researcher at the Federal University of Pelotas (Rio Grande do Sul state) - claimed that Bolsonaro's actions are undefended.

Hallal stressed that 'the main person accountable for disclosing anti-scientific messages was Jair Bolsonaro.'

Unfortunately, 'Bolsonaro's stance is the worst we´ve ever seen during the Covid-19 pandemic.'

Dr. Jurema Werneck, representative of the Alert Movement, also assured that in the first 52 weeks of coronavirus-caused crisis, the government was able to take some actions.
