China allocates millions to earthquake-hit Yunnan, Qinghai provinces

China's Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Emergency Management on Saturday allocated 10 million yuan (about 1.5 million U.S. dollars) of natural disaster relief funds to southwest China's Yunnan Province and northwest China's Qinghai Province, respectively, after strong earthquakes hit on Friday and Saturday.

t least three people died in a magnitude 6.1 earthquake in southwestern China, according to local media on Saturday.

The China Central Television (CCTV) broadcaster reported that 27 people had been injured in the earthquake that occurred on Friday in Yunnan province.

After that a magnitude 7.3 earthquake jolted the Qinghai province in northwestern China on Friday.
