Illegal gold mine collapses in Nicaragua, at least 10 missing

A gold mine in southern Nicaragua collapsed on Friday, with at least 10 miners missing, local media reported.

Rescue teams have rushed to the illegal gold mine in a village in the La Esperanza region, which borders Costa Rica.

The exact number of miners trapped by the accident remained unknown, but one miner reportedly managed to escape and report the accident.
