Iran seizes Korean tanker in Persian Gulf for pollution

An informed source in Hormuzgan Province confirmed that a South Korea-flagged oil tanker has been seized in the Persian Gulf for causing environmental pollution, reports IRNA.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, the source said the vessel has been taken to one of the ports of the province, adding that the ship was seized by the security forces.

The source added that the issue is being dealt with in the presence of the relevant organizations and information about further developments will be released.
