Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 737 Dreamliner makes emergency landing in Bengaluru

A Saudi Arabian Airlines flight en route to Medina from Kuala Lumpur made an emergency landing at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru after technical problems arose on Sunday.

The flight crew, a Boeing 737 Dreamliner, requested authorization to land emergency KIA air traffic control (ATC) on Sunday morning.

The spokesman for Bengaluru International Airport (BIAL) said the Saudi flight carrying nearly 280 passengers and crew had landed safely at 9:08 am at the airport from Bengaluru. Schedules of operations and flights from the airport were affected for about 45 minutes.
