The operation has concluded with the arrest of its four members as allegedly responsible for 31 crimes, linked to robberies committed in the provinces of Madrid, Toledo, Guadalajara and Zaragoza, having recovered more than a thousand computer equipment and 300 antigen tests.

In addition, two other men have been arrested: one of them for the crime of receiving the stolen effects and the other for the crimes of receiving, against public health and false documentation.

The geographical mobility of the criminal group, with frequent trips to different provinces of the country, has been the great obstacle to the arrest of the members of this criminal group.

The investigators found that the itinerant gang specialized in robberies in companies and industrial warehouses where practically all the stored merchandise was stolen, and in thefts of large-tonnage trucks – tractor heads and trailers – loaded with merchandise with an easy and quick exit to receivers. .

These investigations allowed the identification of the members of the group and their subsequent surveillance, which led the agents to the province of Zaragoza.

There, in a logistics warehouse, at the beginning of February, those now detained perpetrated a new robbery seizing a trailer loaded with electronic material, mostly laptops and desktop computers – more than a thousand of these pieces of equipment – for an approximate value of one million euros, in addition to other electronic products.

The investigators tracked this material and managed to recover all the merchandise stolen from a ship in Getafe (Madrid). In this hiding place, in addition, a narcotic substance was seized -200 kilograms of marijuana already prepared for distribution-, tools and electronic devices for the theft of vehicles and forcing doors, as well as cash.

As a consequence, the four arrested have been handed over to the judicial authority as alleged perpetrators of 31 criminal acts, mostly crimes against property, as well as false documents and belonging to a criminal group.

Within the framework of this operation, a man who had rented the Getafe (Madrid) warehouse was also arrested, where the electronic material contained in the stolen trailer in Zaragoza was located and intervened.

In this case, it was found that this person was in charge of renting premises so that the rest of the members of the criminal group could hide the stolen merchandise, as well as large amounts of narcotic substance.

When this man learned that the police investigation would be directed against him, he tried to divert the investigations, presenting a sub-rental contract for the Getafe ship in the name of a third person.

However, the agents were able to demonstrate that the contract was fictitious, since this third person was actually a man who died in a traffic accident in Ecuador in 2021.

For all of the above, the detainee has gone to court as allegedly responsible for the crimes of reception, against public health and false documentation.

Finally, the agents have arrested a man in Fuenlabrada (Madrid) as the alleged perpetrator of a reception crime, for acquiring effects from a robbery with force related to the group. In this case, the detainee acquired 300 antigen tests that had previously been stolen in a robbery with force from a company in the town of Yuncos (Toledo), at the end of January.

The agents managed to link the robbery in the Toledo municipality with the members of the criminal group and locate the merchandise after an inspection inside a warehouse in an industrial estate in Fuenlabrada.
