IMF: It's up to Greece to repay earlier part of IMF loans

Staff Writer |
The International Monetary Fund reiterated its view that it is Greece’s decision to repay part the IMF loans earlier, while it stressed that the Greek economy is on a better path today thanks to the reforms that have been implemented so far.

“It’s a decision for the Greek authorities to make. And the way I would put it is to make that decision in consultation with other official creditors where appropriate,” IMF spokesman Gerry Rice told a press briefing on Thursday.
