The long awaited NorthConnex route will provide an important transport link, helping to cut the chronic congestion in the city.

The tolled route includes a 9km tunnel stretch and has been designed to handle around 100,000 vehicles a day.

The new highway stretch links the M1 Pacific Motorway with the M2 motorway.

Its opening will mean that trucks will no longer have to use the Pennant Hills Road, boosting safety and reducing traffic delays.
