The statement has been made by Romania’s ambassador in Islamabad, Niculaie Goia, following a discussion with Zulfikar Bukhari, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development, reported.

The two officials agreed upon deriving out a mechanism for safe and secure migration of Pakistani workers to Romania.

The Romanian Ambassador said that our country, badly needing the workforce, can take over as many as one million skilled and unskilled workers by 2020.

Ambassador Goia told the Pakistani official that Romania needs at least 40,000 drivers, but also specialists in various other fields such as doctors, engineers, construction workers and IT experts. Romania might accommodate up to 500,000 employees from Pakistan, according to the above quoted source.
