U.S. oil drillers cut rigs for second week in a row

U.S. energy firms this week reduced the number of oil rigs operating for a second week in a row.

Drillers cut five oil rigs in the week to November 1, bringing the total count down to 691, the lowest since April 2017, General Electric’s Baker Hughes said.

In the same week a year ago, there were 874 active rigs.
