For 2017, Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk offers more popular, premium options that are standard at a value that is impossible to ignore.

There are heated and ventilated front seats covered in Nappa leather, power eight-way driver seat, heated steering wheel, power liftgate, Keyless Enter 'n Go, remote start system, and universal garage door opener. Also new for 2017, high-intensity discharge (HID) headlamps are standard on all trim levels, excluding Sport. Cherokee Overland includes a leather-wrapped instrument panel, and power front driver and passenger seat with four-way power lumbar.
There are also a new Jeep steering wheel with Zebrano high-gloss wood trim, bright door sill plates, Berber floor mats, standard Nappa leather seats with ventilated/heated front seats, standard Alpine premium audio system, Uconnect 8.4AN AM/FM radio with 8.4-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, Navigation, HD Radio, SiriusXM Travel Link, SiriusXM Traffic, Uconnect Access Advantage, and standard memory driver’s seat, radio and exterior mirrors.
Cherokee Altitude builds off of the Cherokee Sport’s standard equipment and features standard 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted audio controls, deep-tint sunscreen glass, a Gloss Black exterior treatment. Cherokee High Altitude includes all of the Cherokee Limited’s standard equipment and adds 18-inch Gloss Black aluminum wheels, Gloss Black Jeep and 4x4 badges, and a Gloss Black exterior treatment.
3.2-liter V-6 engine is now available on Cherokee Sport, along with three available four-wheel-drive systems that raise the standard for mid-size SUVs, Jeep Selec-Terrain traction control system with up to five customized modes (Auto, Snow, Sport, Sand/Mud and Rock), and best-in-class V-6 towing capability: 4,500 pounds, up to a 56:1 crawl ratio for low-range traction. 2017 Jeep Cherokee is without doubt a very nice addition to this venerable line of offroad cars. ■
