Atlantic City is year-round vacation destination and every season has its guests. Summer is the peak of the tourist season: the weather is warm, students are on vacation, and there are a lot of outdoor activities. If you are a businessman, fall is your season: this is the time for business conventions. During the winter temperatures are lower but this is the time when hotel rates are much lower. And if you enjoy mild temperatures and city without too many tourists, come and visit Atlantic City in the spring.

Almost six kilometres long, the famous Boardwalk was built in 1870, and there is still nothing like it in the world. Those are words of citizens but we can believe that. Steel Pier at 1000 Boardwalk is an attraction by itself and you wouldn't believe it but Ripley's Believe it or Not Museum is the attraction number one. Along with many casinos and hotels, here you can find many amenities that every American wants to visit at least once. The Atlantic City Art Center on Garden Pier offers the opportunity to view the work of the best artists with the beautiful Atlantic Ocean as a backdrop. Garden Pier is also home to the Atlantic City Historical Museum, with many old photographs and local artefacts.

The Pier Shops at Caesars, located at One Atlantic Ocean, houses a number of elite brands and while you are not shopping you can visit one of the restaurants which are among the top in the USA. Atlantic City Miniature Golf, a perfect place to take your kid to, is located on the Boardwalk at Mississippi Avenue. For those of you who are a little bit older, on the opposite side of the Boardwalk there is Historic Boardwalk Hall, the place for the top entertainment and sport events.

If you're not afraid of little bit of walking, take a walk down to the northern end of the boardwalk and then west over to Absecon Lighthouse. Don't let the 228 steps intimidate you: there are several landings for you to rest at about every 75 steps. When you come to the top, you will be rewarded with the most beautiful view of Atlantic City. And now you can reward yourself with a cool themed Wild Wild West Casino. The true spirit of the West is open whole day, every day and this is the place for a true family fun.

While we are here, we must say a word or two about the heart of the city: gambling. Names like Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort, Atlantic City Hilton Casino Resort, Caesars Atlantic City or Tropicana Casino and Resort, among others, are well-known to all lovers of all kind of games. Besides Las Vegas, this is probably the only city in the world where you can enter gambling and poker tournaments at any moment, be it high noon or 3AM. Every casino is decorated in its own style and you can spend the time just enjoying their architecture if you are not so much into games.

Although Atlantic City is the city of casinos, its beaches are also the landmark of the city and the whole state. So, take some sea equipment with you and choose the beach. No matter which one you choose you can enjoy in kayaking, surfing, windsurfing, snorkelling or just simple swimming. One more thing: ask locals where barbeque spots are; there you can make barbeque yourself for your friends and spend a perfect day under the sun.

And in the morning, after the beautiful night on the beach or very busy night in the casino, your natural destination is one of many spas. One of the best spots to relax is The Pool and Fitness Center at Harrah's Resort. It is called "The Tropical Hideaway" because there is always summer. But this is just our recommendation, take any casino and any spa you like, you will have the beautiful, relaxing vacation.
