September, 26-30
Europe, Denmark
Copenhagen is a host town of annual blues festival held in September 26-30. In that period more than 60 international and Danish top musicians will perform at 20 places all over the town, and you can hear all styles of blues music, from roots, folk and country-blues, zydeco, jazz-blues, New Orleans, Mississippi, Texas, to Chicago and West coast. And some other forms that you probably weren't heard of. Leave your MP3 player at hotel and walk through the town to listen the "good men that feel bad".
Every day, including Christmas
Asia, New Zealand
Even managers can be lost. That is the fact that every child can prove. Accept the challenge and take the kid with you and visit Stuart Landsborough's Puzzling World near Wanaka Lake in New Zealand. Puzzling World is the great family entertainment complex with illusion rooms, mazes and puzzles. Look at the sloping billiard table where the balls roll upwards, Tilted House where room is tilted at an angle of fifteen degrees; visit the Ames Forced Perspective Room.
The technique of this illusion was used in The Lord of the Rings film to create the tall people and the little people. The shape of this room is totally distorted although the room looks perfectly normal when viewed from outside through a window. And for the end, take a challenge and enter two-floors maze with 1.5 km long confusing passages - The Great Mazes. Left your kid some money, you will not return soon.
Every day
Europe, Czech Republic
What do you hate the most when visiting a country for the first time? Probably the fact that you will see absolutely nothing, except the beauty of the airport because of a business schedules. If you happen to attend a conference in Prague, you are the lucky one. Use the offer of the Zizkov tower in Prague, the highest, 66 meters high tower in the Czech Republic, and reserve it for your conference. That way you will have both: An opportunity to admire the fascinating panorama of Prague and to do business.
A bit lower you will find a restaurant with pleasant environment and wide choice of meals. That way you can have the kingdom and the horse, if I made good analogy. And if I didn't- call, write...
Every day
Americas, Las Vegas
If you are in Las Vegas skip the casinos and go to Imperial Palace Hotel to see The Auto Collections. There you can see more than 250 classic, antique, muscle, and famous, infamous and historically significant cars. We will count just a few of the best: Packard, Rolls Royce, Duesenberg, Hispano-Suiza, Talbot Lago, Bentley, Ferrari, Aston Martin... Just a hint what the collection offers: a 1932 Rolls-Royce Phantom II and 1928 Mercedes-Benz S Tourer, valued at more than $4,000,000.
Probably the best place to spend a day in Vegas. And, who knows, maybe you return home with a beauty on four wheels. ■
