Packed with brilliant moments, the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival at Portsoy engages the local region, bringing together boats, music, crafts, food and drink to celebrate the region’s rich cultural heritage.

On 30 June and 1 July cheer on the crews as the take part in competitive racing and sailing on the opens seas, enthralling the crowds gathered by the harbourside who watch on in excited anticipation.
Breathe in the aromas of fresh cooked fish, meats and other fine foods, which may prove too much to resists as you wander through the Festival drinking in the atmosphere and the many activities and melodies around you.
Watch skilled traditional craftsmen and women carve, weave, knit and sculpt wonderful creations, many of which you can take home as a reminder of the wonder of Portsoy and its authentic charm.
With up to 16,000 people descending upon Portsoy over Festival weekend, be sure to come along and join the celebrations.
Tickets are from £4.50 to £36.
Day Tickets permits entry for 1 adult or 1 concession (over 60 years) or 1 child (5 – 15 years) as applicable on your chosen day. Children under 5 years are admitted to the Festival free of charge.
Family Day Ticket permits entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children (5 – 15 years) on your chosen day. Children under 5 years are admitted to the Festival free of charge.
Weekend Ticket permits entry for 1 adult or 1 concession (over 60 years) or 1 child (5 – 15 years) as applicable on both Saturday and Sunday. Children under 5 years are admitted to the Festival free of charge.
Family Weekend Ticket permits entry for 2 adults and up to 3 children (5 – 15 years) on both Saturday and Sunday. Children under 5 years are admitted to the Festival free of charge.
All persons aged 60 years and over qualify for Concession rate tickets.
De Kinkels Gig at the Wally Green wi be on Saturday 30th June from 9.00pm – 1.00am. Over 18s only, ID required. Dutch band De Kinkels will once again rock the stage with a selection of popular song covers and anthems. This is strictly an over 18s event.
Dougie Maclean, supported by Elsa Jean McTaggart, Gig at the Wally Green, will be on Friday 29th June from 8.00pm – 11.00pm. Over 18s only. ■
