Illinois Governor JB Pritzker announced that the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has approved disaster declarations for the severe weather that occurred on March 31st and April 4th.

These disaster declarations will allow residents, condo homeowners, and businesses to apply for low-interest loans for damages not covered by insurance.
SBA staff will be at the St. David Village Hall starting at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday May 10 at 11:00 a.m. at 90 Western Avenue in St. David, IL, 61563 to help residents with their applications. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) will be open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
SBA staff will be at the Lincoln Trail College - Student Union Room 211 starting at 11:00 a.m. on May 10th at 11220 St Highway 1, Room 211 in Robinson, Illinois, 62454 to help residents with their applications. The Disaster Loan Outreach Center (DLOC) will be open weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
"The survivors of the March 31st and April 4th severe weather in Illinois deserve all of our available resources to recover and rebuild," said Governor JB Pritzker.
"Thanks to the leadership from our team at the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security, Fulton County ESDA, Fulton County EMA, and the U.S. Small Business Administration, families and residents can now apply for low-interest loans for damages—one of the many ways we are providing financial relief during this time of tragedy and uncertainty.
"My thoughts are with all of the Illinoisans who were affected by these devastating storms—and please know the State of Illinois stands with you and is here to support you in your recovery efforts."
Four people tragically died from the deadly storms on March 31, and many properties were damaged or destroyed. Governor Pritzker immediately issued disaster proclamations to unlock resources for those most-severely impacted.
Homeowners can apply for up to $200,000 in low-interest loans to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners or renters can apply for up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property.
Businesses and not-for-profits can borrow up to $2 million for physical damages. Details on loans are available at https://disasterloanassistance.sba.gov/ela/s/.
These declarations cover Crawford County and the adjacent counties of Clark, Jasper, Richland, Lawrence and Fulton County and the adjacent counties of Warren, Knox, Peoria, Tazwell, Mason, Schuyler, and McDonough. ■
