"Raising the quality of life of our citizens remains a priority of the Government, said the Minister of Transport and Communications", Blagoj Bochvarski, who inspected the construction of the dam Otinja in Stip.
"This capital project, for which we invest 306 million denars, and whose construction began in July 2021, is one of many that through the Ministry of Transport and Communications are currently being implemented in the eastern region of the country".
Minister Bochvarski met with the contractor who introduced him to the details of the process of construction of this dam.
"I can state with great pleasure that the construction of this large project for Stip and the citizens of Stip is going at the desired pace. The day is approaching when we will open the dam for our citizens, when the dream of many generations of citizens of Stip will be fulfilled. Even in winter conditions, the construction company actively and timely performs its construction activities.
"The physical realization on the field is over 10 percent, and the deadline for its completion is by the end of 2023, the beginning of 2024 and we are confident that it will be completed according to the agreement", said Minister Bochvarski.
The funds for this project are provided through the budget of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
By the end of this month, also through the budget of the Ministry, the construction of water supply network, supply and pressure pipeline, pumping station and electrical installations in the settlements Block 77 and Kavaklija in Stip will start.
"The contracts with the contractor company and the supervision company have already been signed. We expect them to be put into operation during the next week, so that this important project for the residents of the settlements of Block 77 and Kavaklija will start to be realized in the field. The investment value of the project is 8.5 million denars and it should be completed during the summer months this year", said Bochvarski.
Regarding the reconstruction of the road infrastructure in the city of Stip, through the Ministry of transport and communications this year will be reconstructed the streets 5th Congress, Braka Danevi and the street Solidarnost, from the project for Connection and rehabilitation of local streets and roads in the municipalities. ■
