US President Donald Trump is a “threat to our world order” and unworthy of a state visit to Britain, U.K. Shadow Foreign Secretary Emily Thornberry tweeted.

Thornberry’s reaction followed Trump’s announcement Friday that he would withdraw the United States from the Arms Trade Treaty, signed in 2014 to regulate non-nuclear arms transfers and make it harder for illegal weapons to be used.

Labour MP Thornberry said that Trump’s announcement “is the final confirmation that he is not the Leader of the Free World, he never has been, and he does not deserve the honour of a State Visit to Britain.”

She added: “He is nothing but a disgrace to his office and a threat to our world order.”

The U.S. president will make a state visit to the U.K. in June, which will include a banquet hosted by Queen Elizabeth. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn on Friday declined to attend the dinner, stating he is opposed to Trump receiving the “red carpet” treatment.
