The UK government should understand that cooperation with Russia entails real benefits and not try to deprive people of them, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF), Urdu Point reports.

"I think that the British ought to understand that cooperation with Russia entails real benefits ... Why and for what do the [UK] politicians try to deprive people of it is absolutely impossible to comprehend," Zakharova said when asked about how London's attitude towards Moscowmight change under the new UK prime minister.
