The legendary McIntosh Laboratory has a new amplifier that successfully follows the footsteps of veell-known older models. The McIntosh MC301 monoblock amplifier delivers 300 watts of power into a single channel.

Both balanced and unbalanced inputs are included for connecting your preamp, along with balanced and unbalanced outputs for ease of connecting bi-amp configurations.
Its monoblock design is the ultimate in system configuration as each speaker has its own dedicated amp, guaranteeing maximum channel separation and audio fidelity. While it is physically smaller than our other amplifiers thanks to its space saving 6" tall chassis, it's still full of all the technology McIntosh is known for and will perform to the same high standards as any of our amps. The McIntosh output Autoformer ensures every speaker receives full power regardless of its impedance.
With the Quad Balanced design, any noise is cancelled inside the Autoformer, yielding the highest power with the least amount of distortion. A unique Power Guard circuitry prevents harsh sounding clipping that could damage your speakers. Your speaker cables will be securely connected to the amp with patented speaker binding posts. The MC301 is completed by the classic McIntosh black glass front panel, silver end caps and a large, easy to read blue watt meter that is globally recognized as a symbol of quality audio.
The McIntosh MC301 delivers 300W to 2, 4 or 8 Ohms, total harmonic distortion is 0.005%, and S/N below rated output is 120dB balanced and 118dB unbalanced. Rated power band is 20Hz to 20kHz and frequency response +0,-0.25DB 20Hz to 20kHz.
If you want and need a preamplifier, we recommend the D150 digital stereo preamplifier. It supports many of the newest digital audio formats such as DSD and DXD. A USB input accepts up to 32-bit/384kHz signals and supports DSD64, DSD128, DXD 352.8kHz and DXD 384kHz. Two coaxial and two optical inputs accept up to 24-bit/192kHz signals. Balanced and unbalanced connections are available for both variable and fixed volume audio outputs, providing flexibility in setting up and connecting your system.
Simply add an amplifier, a pair of speakers and a digital source for a complete digital based stereo system. It's also flexible enough to be used as a headphone amplifier; just connect your digital sources and a pair of headphones, such as the MHP1000 (not included), for a personal listening experience. The D150 uses the same revered DAC as the D100, featuring an 8 channel, 32-bit, 500kHz D/A converter with wide dynamic range and extremely low distortion.
