Although some audiophiles would argue that high-end audio-video can't be achieved in the car, thanks to today's technologies that's not the case. Pioneer's DVD car receivers are proof for that.

Pioneer Electronics's line of in-dash multimedia DVD receivers is designed to meet needs for integration of entertainment and smartphone connectivity in the car.

The best model in line, DVD receiver AVH-X8500BHS features a 7" WVGA motorized touchscreen display, Pioneer's own Mixtrax technology, built-in Bluetooth, an HD Radio tuner, SiriusXM ready, and App Radio Mode for iPhone and select Android devices. The updated user interface eliminates complicated layered selection displays, so access to desired functions is smoother and simpler. Customizable audio and video functions make it easy to suit your mood.

The AVH-X8500BHS is SiriusXM Ready and you can listen to commercial-free music, your favorite sports, news, or whatever you like. Simply connect the SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner (SXV200V1) to the dedicated port on the rear of the receiver and control satellite radio without any cables. Features like Tune Start, Tune Scan, Replay, and iTunes Tagging will be available on the receiver.

Pioneer's Mixtrax virtual DJ technology transforms a listener's music library into a nonstop playlist. The Mixtrax virtual DJ inserts transitions and effects to music played from an iPhone, iPod or USB device. For advanced customization, users have the ability to pick the types of effects and the length a song plays before transitioning to the next song. The display of the multimedia DVD receivers can be set to pulsate and change color with the tempo and intensity of the music, giving you a club-like effect.

The AVH-X8500BHS features an integrated HD Radio tuner, providing clear digital reception of HD Radio HD1, HD2 and HD3 broadcasts from participating radio stations across the country. Listeners also have access to the HD Radio Artist Experience feature that displays album art or station logos when available on the screen, as well as artist and song title information.

For the technically inclined, the VH-X8500BHS has three sets of preamp outputs, DVD/CD playback, DivX/MP3/WMA/AAC playback, aux input (rear), MOSFET 50W X 4 high power, high volt (4V) RCA outputs for a better sound quality connection to external amplifiers, and Pioneer's innovative Advanced Sound Retriever technology for increased sound quality playback of compressed music.

The AVH-X8500BHS allows rear seat passenger to enjoy audio or video content on additional rear seat monitors and headphones, while the front passenger and driver are enjoying or operate navigation functions simultaneously.
