Samsung launched the Galaxy Tab S2, a new Android tablet that’s only 5.6mm thick, 0.6mm less than Apple iPad Air 2. It looks good, has impressive specs and looks like the best tablet on the market today.

The Galaxy Tab S2 is available in 9.7-inch and 8-inch screen sizes, with a 2048×1536 pixel Super AMOLED display. The larger variant is the same size as the iPad Air 2 and it offers the same resolution while weighing less. Under the hood, thre is a very capable octa-core processor with four 1.9GHz cores and four 1.3GHz cores, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB or 64GB of onboard storage, depending on the variant you choose. There iss also a microSD slot for an additional 128GB of space if you need it.
The operating system on the device is Android 5.0 Lollipop. A nice addition is a fingerprint reader that lets you secure and unlock the device with just a touch of the home key, while Samsung’s software allows for multi-tasking and pop-up windows for easy switching between apps which is really, really nice feature. Of hardware worth mentioning, there are an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2.1-megapixel camera for your selfies on the front and the picture is complete.
The Galaxy Tab S2 features Smart Manager which displays the device’s settings automatically, including battery power levels, storage and RAM availability for users to efficiently manage their devices. It is also pre-installed with anti-malware for an extra layer of protection. With Pop-Up Window, users can easily navigate between multiple apps at once and the Galaxy Tab S2 also provides an improved storage structure that makes locating file svery simple.
So, what is the conclusion? It's simple, really: Samsung makes great tablets and the new Galaxy Tab S2 once again proved that the company can do really great things when it is trying to catch the competition. In this case, they jumped over everybody else.
